Continuing Medical Education
Continuing Medical Education – Continuing Professional Development (CME-CPD)
The 27th Congress of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) www.uems.net.
The 27th EADV Paris Congress has been granted a maximum of 25 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
Procedure to gain your credits
The EADV offers individual CME-CPD participation through the scanning of the QR CODE on the registration badge. Hostesses will scan the badge as participants pass through the entrance of each session hall.
Congress attendees will be accredited only with the hours recorded by the scanning process.
A speaker/session evaluation form will be available online and on the EADV event App for the period of one month after the end of the Congress. The CME-CPD certificate will be downloadable after completing the online evaluation.
Evaluation data is essential to our statistics and is of considerable help in the choice of future topics and speakers. Your feedback and comments are greatly appreciated.
Your CME-CPD Certificate
CME-CPD certificates will be available directly from the EADV certificate download page after completing the online evaluation of the sessions attended either on the website or via the EADV App on your smartphone, tablet or laptop.
For the download you will only need to enter your EADV log-in (if you are an EADV-member) or the credentials used during the registration process (if you are a non-EADV member). The remainder of the certificate is write-protected.
Each participant can only receive the number of credits he/she is entitled to according to his/her actual participation at the event (as recorded by the scanning process).

NOTE: Credits are NOT granted by the EADV for participation to Subspecialty (or Sister Society) meetings on Wednesday and Industry sessions (Satellites and Meet-the-Experts).
Conversion of credits
Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme.
Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Please refer to the national CME-CPD authority in your country of practice for the exchange of CME-CPD credits/points.
Personal Speaker Evaluation Data
Personal evaluation data, collected from the completed evaluation forms, will be automatically sent to the speakers. All data is treated confidentially and is generally available several months after the event. It is also envisaged to publish the top ten sessions in the EADV News.
Should you have any question during the event, you are encouraged to pass by the CME-CPD Booth located on Level 2 of the Congress Centre, otherwise feel free to write an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
